Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Ashley Young could leave the club in the next 48 hours as the Englishman is still pushing for a January deadline day exit.
Even though Jose Mourinho wants Young to stay at the Old Trafford club, the player is still uncertain over his future as five clubs have allegedly registered their interest in getting his signature.
Young hasn’t featured for Man United lots of times this season, and he keenly desire more playing time. Though his future is still up in the air and the Portuguese coach was looking to play the Englishman as he hopes to rotate his squad, Young himself desires more first-team action.
Currently, Manchester United are battling in four different competitions and we can say that Young would have picked up minutes as Jose Mourinho has already expressed his fixture congestion fears.
However being realistic, there are other players on the team that have more to offer than Young at this moment. Also considering that the 31-year old has entered the latter stages of his career, he would be allowed to leave if he wants to get game time so badly.
But looking at things from his own perspective, since he won’t receive the chance to start each week and he seems to be bored of sitting on the bench, then he shouldn’t be blamed for wanting to do what he loves doing.
