Man United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has given a hint on what should be expected as regards the future of the club’s captain Antonio Valencia at the end of the season.

With his contract expected to run out in the coming summer, Red Devils’ boss cannot categorically confirm if the star player would be handed a new deal or not. This hints that he could be on his way.

The fact that Valencia has only featured eight times this season as his being dropped by former manager Jose Mourinho means he is not a major part of the team and might not be considered, owing to his age.

However, the former Red Devils’ forward confirms that the star player is 100 per cent fit to have a fantastic career at Old Trafford, noting that he has got a lot of experience to add to the team, knowing that he is the only player in the dressing room who has won the EPL title as a Man United player.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, therefore opened up that the Red Devils management could be encouraged to hand Antonio Valencia a new deal if he is able to see regular playing time in the next few weeks.
