Could these be the reasons behind Andrea Christensen’s poor performance against Derby County?
Chelsea FC managed to defeat Derby County last night with three goals to two in the Carabao League.
However, it was very glaring last night that coach Maurizio Sarri needs to work on his defense because they were not spectacular.
But we are worried about Andrea Christensen – This is because as at last season under former coach Antonio Conte, Christensen was among the top stars in the Blues defense, where he played among the back three.
The defender was strong, assertive and decisive but the same can’t be said of his current form at Chelsea.
The following could be the likely reasons behind Christensen’s poor performance,
1. He had more protection in the back three under coach Antonio Conte
2. Christensen has not been regular in Blues squad and he might be struggling to get himself together.
3. The change in partners playing alongside Andrea Christensen may be the reason behind his poor form.
He seems to be finding it hard to form a good combination with his partners, it was visible last night between him and Gary Cahill.
Andrea Christensen wants more playing time but he wouldn’t be getting it if he continues to play like this.
In the long run, the Blues still remain undefeated.
