French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) are eyeing a £30m transfer for Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure ahead of the upcoming transfer window scheduled to begin as from the 1st of next month.
This is according to the report from the renowned English media portal Daily Mail.
It was revealed that the Parisians have already opened talks in a bid to prise the French midfielder away from the Hornets when the January transfer market reopens.
Doucoure, 25, has been a regular fixture in the Watford team since he joined the London club in 2016.
He has scored 10 goals in 82 appearances for the Hornets since his move to England two years ago.
His performances for Watford in the last campaign led to him being named the Hornets’ player of the season.
He has been attracting interests from Premier League sides like Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur as well as the Merseyside duo of Everton and Liverpool.
PSG are in need of midfield reinforcements following the imminent exit of Adrien Rabiot next summer.
Rabiot, 23, has turned down several contract offers from the French club in favour of a move away from Paris.
Several reports claim that he has already agreed a free transfer move to FC Barcelona.
