Philippe Coutinho breaks into tears as Liverpool reject final bid

According to reports in Spain, Merseyside club Liverpool have refused in the final hour of the Spanish transfer market a bid of about 160 million EUR from La Liga giant FC Barcelona for their talented attacking midfielder.

The Premier League club denied the La Liga club giants their primary target after the departure of Brazil international Neymar Jr, Philippe Coutinho.

French Ligue 1 giant Paris Saint Germain’s timing of the move made it hard for Barcelona to find a proper replacement, even though they earned a massive sum of cash.

Dembele was signed from German side Borussia Dortmund as a somewhat replacement, but Brazil international Coutinho was the player that they are obsessed with since his Brazil teammate moved to Paris.

As per Mundo Deportivo, the skilful playmaker who contributed to Brazil’s victory over Ecuador last night has long been sighted by the Blaugrana, and they had hoped a bid of 160 million EUR would convince the English Premier League club.

The rejection would come just a few hours after the transfer market had closed, just as Brazil National team were on the pitch for their FIFA World Cup qualifier, and some of Coutinho’s colleagues reportedly had seen him weeping after hearing the news of his failed move to Barcelona.

It’s unknown whether this is the end of the Barcelona-Coutinho transfer saga or the beginning.
