Manchester City lost 2-1 to Chelsea in their last premier league game at Stamford Bridge, and City’s manager Pep Guardiola recently admitted that he was intimidated at the sight of the players Antonio Conte fielded.
Guardiola managed some of the best players and teams in the world with splendid trophies recorded to him, but he is yet to find his feet at the premier league ever since arriving Man City last summer.
The Sky Blue outfit got their title hopes for this season destroyed following the 2-1 defeat on Wednesday that placed them at the fourth position. They are now 14 points behind Chelsea.
Obviously, Chelsea have a stronger squad than Man City, and the Spaniard stated that he was scared at the sight of the opponent’s line up and that he almost couldn’t figure out how to deal with Conte’s side.
And despite the defeat, Pep insisted that they played well, because his boys did their best to be the main role in the game. He also claimed that his boys did far better against the west London club than against Arsenal at the weekend, even though they could not get any point.
Guardiola expressed his regrets for not being able to pick up any points whatsoever in his encounters with the premier league table leaders this season, but resented to the possibilities of coming back next season with a stronger squad.
