Experienced journalist Raphael Honigstein has confirmed that Premier League giants Chelsea have made an offer for Borussia Dortmund player Christian Pulisic.
Honigstein confirmed the Chelsea bid while he was on popular English media outlet Sky Sports.
The German journalist revealed that the Blues are the only club to make a firm offer for Christian Pulisic and that Borussia Dortmund are waiting to see if other clubs will submit a bid for the 20-year-old.
Earlier reports had claimed that Chelsea have agreed to a £45m deal with German Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund for the player and that he will join the Blues at the end of this season.
Chelsea wanted the deal to happen during the upcoming January transfer window but the Germans were adamant that they won’t sell the American forward until at least the summer.
Christian Pulisic has just 18 months left on his current contract with Borussia Dortmund who are unlikely to offer him a new deal.
He has been a bit-part player for Borussia Dortmund this season in their run to the top of the German Bundesliga table.
New Borussia Dortmund manager Lucien Favre has preferred other forwards like Jadon Sancho and Johann Brunn Larsen to him.
Young English forward Sancho has been in sensational form with six league goals.
