Not Keita – Liverpool Need To Bring Amazing Star To Anfield For Midfield Reinforcements

It is now generally known that RB Leipzig star player Naby Keita has emerged as a target for Liverpool this summer and the reds have been trying hard to get his signature.

Since it appears a deal won’t be coming through, it is expected that the Anfield club should begin looking into other directions.

The new term is fast approaching and Liverpool need to bring in key players as soon as possible in other to settle before the campaign kicks off.

Liverpool will stop persuading Leipzig for Keita and work towards getting the signature of Mateo Kovacic from Real Madrid.

Last season, Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane kept the Croatian midfielder on the bench and preferred featuring the likes of Kroos, Modric, and Casemiro .

The player was only given the opportunity to start 19 league matches and was able to score a goal and provided 3 assists.

Without doubt, Kovacic is a talented player who is even more versatile than Naby. While Naby has just impressed in just one season, Mateo was so impressive in Italy before making the move to Spain.

Apart from being a good attacking midfielder, the Croatian international can also effectively play as a defensive midfielder.

Since Jurgen Klopp is still in need of a top defensive midfielder and in his squad, the 23-year-old might be the perfect man – better than Naby who is mostly attack minded.
