Chelsea And Man Utd Set To Snatch £50M Star Away From Tottenham’s Grip

Everton star defender Ross Barkley is becoming a hot prospect this summer following his impressive performances at Goodison Park.

The Englishman has emerged as a target for Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur and right now, there are reports that the duo of Chelsea and Manchester United have entered the race for him and are also interested in securing his services ahead of last season.

The premier league champions and Jose Mourinho’s side are understood to be considering a late summer transfer window move for the player, who is also linked with Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal.

Barkley is valued at around £50million by his club as a handful of premier league clubs have showed interest in him this summer.

The England international is still stalling on signing a new deal with the toffees with just one year left to go on his current contract, and Chelsea and United are expected to step up their interest in him.

Ross was once regarded as one of the best young players in the English top flight, but hasn’t quite lived up to expectations at Everton so far.

Nevertheless, he could still be seen as a player who could function properly in the Chelsea and Man United squad.

Last term, he scored five goals and provided eight assists in 38 games for Everton.

The Daily Mail says Ronald Koeman’s side have not yet received a concrete offer for the 23-year-old, but both Chelsea and Man Utd could be set to try their luck in the coming days.
