Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona have denied reports claiming that they have made a bid for Celta Vigo striker Maxi Gomez.
This is according to the specific publication from popular Spanish news portal Mundo Deportivo which claimed that Barcelona have not made an official bid for the hugely talented Maxi Gomez.
Spanish striker Maxi Gomez has been attracting the interest of several clubs after a very good season with Celta Vigo this season.
Apart from Barcelona, Liverpool and Real Madrid have also been linked with a summer transfer for him.
Earlier reports had said that Barcelona made a €25m bid for Maxi Gomez but those reports have been debunked by the Catalan giants.
Maxi Gomez scored 13 goals and also weighed in with five assists in 35 games during the just concluded Spanish La Liga season.
Barcelona are looking for a new striker and Maxi Gomez has been mooted as a possible transfer addition to the Catalan outfit who are sure the striker is needed at the Nou Camp.
The aforementioned publication from Mundo Deportivo revealed that Celta Vigo will only entertain offers of at least €50m for one of their prized assets.
Uruguayan international striker Maxi Gomez was instrumental to how Celta Vigo were able to survive relegation at the end of the season.
