RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita wants to wear the iconic number 8 jersey at Liverpool amid interest from Anfield.
The 22-year-old has been a top target for the Reds this summer with reports that Jurgen Klopp has told the club to sign the player at all costs despite the German Bundesliga side’s £70million valuation.
Prior reports suggest that the Reds were priced out of the move for the midfielder but there are indications that Keita might finally land at Anfield this summer with suggestions that the player is keen on moving to the English giants.
His national team coach, Titi Camara has also come out to reveal that the midfielder wants a move to Liverpool and has even requested a the number 8 jersey won by Kop legend, Steven Gerrard.
Naby Keita who joined RB Leipzig last summer from their sister club, Salzburg last summer, has gone on to become one of the promising players in the German Bundesliga with his solid displays to help them to the runners-up behind league giants, Bayern Munich.
Leipzig is said to be reluctant about selling their star performer and will demand an astronomical figure from Liverpool in order to fend them off after rejecting their initial bid for the player.
