Marko Arnautovic

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has ruled out the possibility of his side having the signature of West Ham United striker Marko Arnautovic in the winter transfer window which reopens in coming weeks.

Marko Arnautovic has been linked to the Old Trafford in the past few weeks with the expectations that a deal would be struck in the January window transfer.

Therefore the Portuguese boss is of the opinion that there will not be a need for Marko Arnautovic at the moment because of the several options available for his side at the moment.

He hints that a bid could be submitted for the player in the next summer transfer window which means that a number of players could be asked to leave the Old Trafford if they fail to deliver before the end of the season.

Marko Arnautovic has been impressive this season with 6 goals to his name and 2 assists in 14 appearances.

The 29-year-old only joined West Ham in 2017 with a fee of about £22m which means he will not be staying long at the club having attracted a lot of interests with his performance.

However, manager Mourinho is expected to focus on defenders in the coming winter window having blamed the department for his woes this season.
