Liverpool set to pay £35m for ‘World class’ star to solve problem

Liverpool are set to table a £35million bid to land AC Milan safe hand Gianluigi Donnarumma in the summer window, as per reports in Italy.

According to Calciomercato, as cited by the Daily Star, is claiming that the Reds want to land the Italian to resolve their problems in goal.

German shot-stopper Loris Karius has made the first choice spot his own in the second stanza of the campaign but questions remain about if the 24-year-old is the answer for manager Jurgen Klopp in the long-run.

AC Milan youngster Donnarumma has become one of the best goalie in the Serie A and the Italian safe hand has been touted to follow in the footsteps of the legendary Gianluigi Buffon.

A swap deal a possibility

The same report says that Liverpool could also offer Italian side AC Milan a player in a bid to sign Donnarumma but Calciomercato don’t list which Reds star would be used in the swap deal.

As per the same report, the Merseysider’s have already held talks with Italian agent Mino Raiola with a view to a move in the summer.

Liverpool finished in fourth spot on the Premier League log to secure a UEFA Champions League place in successive campaigns.
