There are reports Liverpool have dropped their interest in Thomas Lemar due to Monaco’s £90million asking price.

The French champions have reportedly told clubs interested in Thomas that they won’t accept anything less than £90 Million for the player’s signature.

And according to The Times, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp feels Lemar is not worth that much and has ended his interest in the Frenchman.

Liverpool recently sold Phillipe Coutinho to Barcelona for £142 Million, and they are trying to spend the money wisely – even though lots of fans are expecting a new replacement to be signed before the end of this ongoing winter transfer.

But it appears Liverpool would rather wait until the summer to ensure they avoid the mistakes made few years back when they sold Luiz Suarez to Barcelona.

Apart from Lemar, other superb players have also been linked with Liverpool in recent times – including Borussia Dortmund’s Christian Pulisic.

Arsenal are also interested in Thomas Lemar, and the recent development will definitely please manager Arsene Wenger.

Last summer, the North Londoners were close to agreeing to a deal with Monaco for the Frenchman, but a move couldn’t materialise before the closure of the window.

It is believed Thomas would be an ideal replacement for bound-to-depart Alexis Sanchez.
