Merseyside giants Liverpool are finally back in the UEFA Champions League this season after three long seasons and manager Jürgen Klopp is sweating to try and reinforce the team this summer transfer window. The Reds have failed to sign one of their main transfer target Naby Keita this summer transfer window, but they seem to be desperate to sign another midfielder before the deadline day.

Even as they continue to monitor the situation of England and Arsenal’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, the Reds are now linked to Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal in a strange transfer story.

According to World Football Index, the Reds are monitoring the Chilean as an alternative for Naby Keita this summer transfer window. However, the speculation caught some weight today after Italian news outfit Calciomercato reported that Vidal is now willing to quit Bayern Munich.

The report claims that Chilean international Arturo Vidal is in search of a fresh challenge this season and wants to call it quit at Bayern Munich before the deadline day. Serie A side Inter Milan are also believed to be interested in his signature.

The 30-year old is still at the top of his game and has helped Chile win two Copa America titles in the last two tournaments. He won the German Bundesliga title last campaign and is one of the most influential central midfielders in Europe at the moment.

Vidal has played 174 Bundesliga matches, 124 Serie A games, 46 UEFA Champions League matches and 95 international games in his career and is one of the most established midfielders at the moment. The Strong and versatile player is a box to box midfielder with a lot of energy to burn in every match.

The Chilean is a match winner, but at the age of 30, he is not a long-term choice. However, he will not cost much and could be a nice bargain for the Reds, who will need such experienced names to make an impact in the UEFA Champions League.
