Liverpool Can Make Title Statement At Man Utd
Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher believes that the Reds can make a big title statement at Old Trafford when they take on rivals Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday evening.
The ex-Liverpool defender told Sky Sports that his former club can make a big statement in the Premier League title race with a positive result at the Theatre of Dreams in what’s the start of a busy week.
After the game against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday evening, Liverpool will host in-form Watford at Anfield on Wednesday before facing Merseyside rivals Everton away from home next weekend.
Jamie Carragher further said that Jurgen Klopp and his players will be pleased with themselves if they manage to finish the Everton game at the top of the table.
Liverpool were boasting at the top of the table before a first league defeat at the Etihad Stadium against title rivals Manchester City stopped their momentum.
Recent draws against Leicester City and London club West Ham United didn’t help their quest for a first Premier League title but they are back on track following the 3-0 win against Bournemouth in their last league game.
Liverpool have the same points with leaders Manchester City at the league summit but they have played a game less.
