Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has a message that should interest United fans all over the world. The Portuguese coach said that record signing Paul Pogba has the potential to captain Manchester United one day.
In recent weeks, the Frenchman has been in fine form at the Old Trafford after his shaky start at the beginning of this campaign following his move from Juventus in the summer window.
The talented midfielder arrived back at Old Trafford too much fanfare after Mourinho made the management part with a world-record transfer fee to bring him to the club from Italy. He has been earning numerous praise for his performances in recent weeks for the squad.
Now, Jose feels that the France international has the ability to follow in the footsteps of some of Uniteds’ top captains of the past.
In an interview with Sky Sports, Mourinho said he think Paul has the charisma, the ambition, the mentality and he is a good professional.
“Being so young and with so many ingredients, I think he [Pogba] can.” Mourinho said.
Last season when Louis Van Gaal was still boss, Manchester United finished fifth in the PL and won the FA Cup too. Mourinho hopes to do better this season.
