Sandro Tonali

Premier League giants Liverpool face two Italian clubs in the bid to sign one of the most sought-after young midfielders in Europe.

Sandro Tonali has been attracting the interest of major clubs in and around Europe following his impressive outings for Brescia in the second tier of Italian football.

His form has propelled his Brescia side to the top of the table with the club on course for promotion to the Italian Serie A.

He has enjoyed comparison with Italian football legend Andrea Pirlo due to his style of play.

Pirlo was an enigmatic midfielder during his playing days and his quality was undeniable as he helped Italy to a fourth World Cup title at the 2006 edition in Germany.

Recent reports revealed that Brescia owner Massimo Cellino will demand a transfer fee of €50m for Sandro Tonali if Brescia gain promotion to the Italian top flight.

The asking price will be €15m less if they fail in their promotion bid.

AS Roma and Liverpool were confirmed by Cellino as interested clubs in one of his recent interviews.

Italian media outlet 11 Bianconero claim that Juventus could sign the player ahead of AS Roma and Liverpool due to the fact that they are prepared to let him join Brescia on loan for next season.
