Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has addressed transfer rumours linking the Scottish giants with a short-term move for Liverpool striker Dominic Solanke when the transfer window reopens at the start of next month.
The Reds legend responded to those rumours in his latest interview monitored by the Daily Mail as he revealed that Liverpool have not said that the England international striker is available for a transfer.
Dominic Solanke has repeatedly linked with a loan transfer to Scottish Premier League outfit Rangers next month as a replacement for two recent departures.
Rangers have been depleted following the departures of Ovie Ejaria and Umar Sadiq.
Ejaria (Liverpool) and Sadiq (AS Roma) have gone ending their loan spells at Rangers abruptly.
Nigerian attacker Umar Sadiq played just five games for Rangers before his season-long loan deal was cancelled earlier this month for non-performance.
On the part of Nigerian-born England winger Ovie Ejaria, the 21-year-old made 28 appearances for Rangers in all competitions only for him to end his loan spell abruptly for personal reasons.
It was revealed that he played to adapt to the demands of Scottish football.
Liverpool teammate Dominic Solanke has been touted as a possible replacement for him.
The former Chelsea striker has also been linked with other clubs like Galatasaray, Crystal Palace, West Ham United and Newcastle United.
