According to new reports, Chelsea star player Nemanja Matic has agreed to personal terms with Manchester United as he edges closer to leaving Stamford Bridge.

Manchester Evening News reveals a deal between the defensive midfielder and Man United has been struck, but a fee is yet to be agreed between United and the Premier League champions.

According to  Chelsea have agreed a €40 million (£35m) fee with Monaco for Tiemoue Bakayoko and the Frenchman is now set to undergo a medical next week (read here).

The France international’s arrival at Antonio Conte’s side is expected to speed up the departure of Nemanja, who is also wanted by Serie A champions Juventus.

Matic is said to be keen on a reunion with his former manager Jose Mourinho at Man United and reports have claimed that the Portuguese tactician has kept in touch with Matic’s representatives.

The 28-year-old played a key role in Chelsea’s title success last season but Italian manager Antonio Conte is open to allowing him to leave once a replacement has been signed.

Jose is still on the lookout for a new defensively midfielder and Tottenham’s Eric Dier has also emerged as his top priority. However, Tottenham does not appear interested in selling their prize asset to a Premier League rival, and Jose will need to pay the £40 Million Chelsea are asking for Matic.
