A strange story has emerged of how David Luiz allegedly left Ligue 1 side PSG in the final hours of the summer transfer window to return back to Chelsea.
Luiz has been sensational for Chelsea in the centre of their three-man backline and has scored a fantastic free-kick for Chelsea at Anfield on Tuesday.
However, L’Equipe recently published a lengthy feature on PSG director of football Patrick Kluivert which exposes something.
David Luiz return to the Stamford Bridge club was a huge surprise that took everyone by surprise – especially considering that the Samba star was only linked with the Blues in the final days of the summer transfer window.
It was now revealed that Luiz was the one who pushed for a move back to Chelsea.
Back then in August 2016, PSG played a match against Monaco and they lost 3-1. Then Unai Emery hauled Luiz off following a poor display from him.
Then it was said that Luiz was furious at being subbed off and he then “put a knife to the throat of Kluivert” as he looked to move before the summer window closed. But hey, to “put a knife on someone’s throat” in French means to force someone into doing something.
So since Luiz was concerned for how often he would play due to the presence of other excellent players like Thiago Silva and Marquinhos,he then forced Kluivert who was left with no other choice but to sell Luiz to Chelsea.
But since Luiz is regarded to be one of the most down to earth footballers around, we suspect this story will be debunked soon.
