The English premier league is a league filled with shocks, and everyone were shocked when premier league table leaders Chelsea lost to Crystal Palace home at Stamford Bridge.
Lots of people have expressed themselves and reacted to the game, most especially on social media. And England legend Gary Lineker also took to social media to express himself about the Saturday’s loss.
Cesc Fabregas scored the opener after five minutes before Wilfried Zaha successfully equalised just four minutes later.
And Palace’s impressive forward Benteke fired Sam Allardyce’s side ahead in the 11th minute to stun Chelsea fans. And Lineker, in that moment, used his personal Twitter account to express his view about the ongoing incident.
Some miles away, Tottenham are at the moment leading Burnley by two goals, and the legend expressed the possibility of the gap been reduced to seven points -something which eventually occurred.
Even though for most of the game, it was Antonio Conte’s side that dominated the game, Crystal Palace managed to hold on strong and were able to overcome victoriously by taking home the full three points.
Even though Chelsea are still sitting at the top of the premier league table and are still considered by many as the favourites to win the title, their lead have been reduced to seven points after Tottenham’s win over Burnley.
Chelsea will play their next premier league game on Wednesday night as they collide with Man City and hope to strengthen themselves further on the top.
