According to reports making the rounds in Spain, Real Madrid target Eden Hazard is set to sign a new deal with Chelsea as long as they include a clause that would permit him to join La Liga giants Real Madrid.
Hazard set to sign new Chelsea deal
Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo, as cited by the Daily Star, is claiming that Eden Hazard is ready to sign a fresh contract at the club worth up to £300,000-weekly.
The same article says that signing the Belgium international forward is one of Real Madrid’s main priorities in the summer window, although the rumour linking him with a switch to Spain is not new.
As per the same report, the 27-year-old is set to sign a new contract with Chelsea but only if the deal includes a release clause which would permit him to join Real Madrid for a pre-established fee.
Player want Real release clause included
That would leave the exciting attacker in control of his future and he would be permitted to leave the West London club for Champions League winners Real Madrid when the time is right for him.
The player has emerged as one of the League’s top attacking footballers since his transfer to the West London club from French Ligue 1 side Lille in 2012.
He has won two English Premier League titles with Chelsea and was voted PFA player of the year in 2015.
