Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea is not giving much attention to recent speculations that surround his future at Old Trafford.
There are claims the Spain international have just begun talks over a new deal with Manchester United, and that the red devils are ready to offer him a much lucrative contract to shield him from other clubs interested in his signature – especially Real Madrid.
The Champions League winners are repeatedly linked with David, and are ready to do all it takes to lure him back to Spain.
His current contract at Old Trafford is meant to expire next summer – although manager Jose Mourinho made it known his side are going to trigger a one-year extension clause in his contract.
But even after that, the Old Trafford club are still set to sign the shot-stopper to a new long-term deal.
De Gea has evolved into one of the best goalkeepers in the world and he has been of great help to Manchester United. The fans are in love with him, and they will be eager to see him remain with them at Old Trafford.
Unfortunately, the Spain international insisted he is not thinking about extending his contract.
Speaking recently to Sky Sports, the goalie said this is not the right time to begin talking about contracts, and that he is concentrating on the games ahead.
