Confirmed: No Contract Talks For In-demand Chelsea Winger
Premier League giants Chelsea are yet to open contract talks with Blues winger Callum Hudson-Odoi despite the fact that his contract has just one year left to run.
This is according to the report from the Daily Mail which claimed that the West Londoners are yet to start new contract talks with the player.
Recently capped England international Hudson-Odoi was offered the chance of a new deal earlier in the year while he was waiting to move to Bayern Munich but the transfer didn’t materialise.
German Bundesliga champions Bayern submitted as many as five bids for him only to meet the brickwall called Chelsea.
The Blues turned down all the Bayern bids in the face of the transfer request handed in by the player.
Bayern Munich are expected to try again for him in the summer while other clubs like Barcelona and Manchester United are also monitoring his situation at Chelsea.
Callum Hudson-Odoi is presently out with a long-term injury but that has not stopped clubs from retaining their interest in him.
He sustained an Achilles injury during the recent league game at home to Burnley and the young winger is not expected to return to the pitch until the final months of this year.
Hudson-Odoi is expected to be out for at least six months as a result of the injury.
