Former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is gradually closing in on a return to management after his one-year absence from the dugout.
The Italian tactician is said to be close to be named the new manager at Serie A giants Inter Milan.
According to Italian news outlet Tuttosport, Conte will earn a whopping €10m on a yearly basis at the San Siro and he’s expected to sign a three-year deal with the Nerazzurri.
Antonio Conte will be the direct replacement for current Inter boss Luciano Spalletti who’s expected to leave the club this summer.
Luciano Spalletti has had an average season in charge of Inter Milan who dropped out of Europe (both the Champions League and the Europa League) in disappointing fashion.
Inter Milan are also struggling to qualify for next season’s Champions League though they are still in the driving seat with three league games left to play in the Italian top flight.
Ex-Juventus and Chelsea manager Antonio Conte would be a good replacement for the aforementioned Spalletti.
Conte has not taken up a managerial job since he was sacked as the Chelsea manager last summer after he failed to deliver Champions League football at the end of last season.
He was given the marching orders despite winning the FA Cup title and the Premier League title a year earlier.
