Monaco youngster Kylian Mbappe is currently one of the hottest prospects in the world of football and has been linked with a handful of top clubs across Europe, including Arsenal and Real Madrid.

However, it is understood that the French club are not ready to let him leave, and have decided to take a ‘preventive measure’ to make the 18-year-old ignore other offers.

According to reports, the Ligue I champions are ready to offer Mbappe the highest wages in the club’s history so as to prevent him from exiting the club this summer.

The France international is one of the most exciting young stars in the world of football currently after a superb campaign at Monaco last season.

He scored 26 goals in all competitions to help Monaco beat PSG to the Ligue 1 title and reached the semi-finals of the Champions League. The teenager is now valued at over £100million as big clubs battle for his signature.

It is understood that FA Cup winners Arsenal have already had a bid rejected for the youngster, and premier league champions Chelsea are also stepping up their interest in him as they look for a superb forward to replace embattled Diego Costa.

Mbappe’s club will now hope their big-money deal can persuade him not to leave the club.
