According to reports, Premier League Champions Chelsea have allegedly made an approach for Real Madrid forward and Arsenal target Karim Benzema, but he’s turned it down as he hopes to remain at the Santiago Bernabeu.
This is as per Don Balon, who have formerly linked the France international forward with a possible transfer to the Emirates after some unconvincing run of form in the Spanish La Liga this campaign.
Don Balon formerly linked the Frenchman with the North Londoners and now add that the West London club made him an approach, but it looks like a transfer to the English Premier League is not going to happen at the moment.
Chelsea could surely do with a better version of Spain international striker Alvaro Morata in attack after the Spaniard’s recent run of form, though truly, Karim Benzema may not be the striker to do it.
The 30-year-old forward has only netted two goals in Spanish La Liga this term and seems past his best, though the striker has formerly been one of Europe’s most dangerous attacking players.
A new start could be what the striker needs, but it looks like he would favour staying where he is, instead of a move to Stamford Bridge to challenge himself.
