According to ESPN FC football pundit Paul Mariner, Premier League giants Chelsea would be a good prospect with Real Madrid neglect Gareth Bale in their squad alongside playmaker Eden Hazard.
Bale set to leave Real
The Wales international forward has been heavily linked with an exit at the club this summer window following a tough 2017-18 campaign at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Gareth Bale struggled for regular football action at the Bernabeu and fell behind Spanish duo Isco and Marco Asensio in the pecking order in Madrid.
However, Bale, 29, ended the season with four goals in his last 4 Spanish La Liga matches before he came off the substitute bench to score a brace in Real Madrid’s 3-1 victory against Premier League side Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League final in the Ukrainian City of Kiev.
Man United named among suitors
Premier League giants Manchester United have been mentioned as favourites to land Gareth Bale but the Blues have been made a list of another possible destination for the ex Tottenham Hotspur superstar.
The Blues have relied so much on Eden Hazard over the last few campaigns, winning two English Premier League crowns in the last four campaigns under Portuguese tactician Jose Mourinho and Italian boss Antonio Conte.
Former Gunners star Mariner feels the Blues would be a great team with both Gareth Bale and Eden Hazard in the starting eleven.
