According to reports, Serie A giants Juventus have contacted Chelsea over a shocking transfer for Chelsea captain Gary Cahill.

The Serie A Champions lost Leonardo Bonucci to AC Milan earlier in the summer and are keen on signing an experienced defender to replace the Italian.

The, 31 year old, was named Chelsea captain following the departure of long serving John Terry, but he’s had a tough start to the Premier League season and was red carded in Chelsea’s opening weekend loss to Burnley.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has brought in Rudiger and Andreas Christensen to his team since last season and hopes to secure the services of Southampton ace Virgil van Dijk before the transfer window slams shut.

The arrival of Virgil van Dijk would push Gary Cahill down the pecking order at the club, and the Sun is reporting that Conte would be open to selling him.

The Old Lady are thought to be willing to pay about £16.5million to sign the Chelsea captain and have opened discussions with the Blues over a deal.

We wait and see whether the Englishman would be willing to move, and the transfer could rely on Conte’s remaining transfer business this summer.

The Chelsea manager is willing to sign up four players before the summer window slams shut next week.
