According to the Daily Mirror, Arsenal season long target Thomas Lemar has reportedly set his sights on joining Manchester United.
The Red Devils, who currently top the Premier League table after comfortably thrashing West Ham and Swansea City 4-0 apiece in their opening two League fixtures, have been handed a massive transfer boost in the race to secure the services of the highly-rated Monaco winger, although any transfer is unlikely before the summer transfer window closes next Thursday.
Lemar, 21, who has played five international matches for his country, has made one assist in four games in all competitions for Monaco so far this season.
The winger, who left Caen back in 2015, scored 14 goals and made 17 assists in 55 matches in all competitions for Monaco last season.
Despite being Arsenal’s target all summer long, though Arsene Wenger has now accepted defeat in signing the winger before the summer transfer window closes next Thursday, the Wideman is in fact believed to be eyeing a future transfer to Old Trafford, as he intends to follow in the footsteps of Anthony Martial.
United splashed out about £36m to sign ex-Monaco forward Martial in September 2015, though the transfer could be worth £58m with add-ons.
The Wideman has netted 19 goals in 93 matches overall for AS Monaco.
