Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has praised his players after their phenomenal performance against Portuguese champions FC Porto in the Champions League.
Klopp hailed his side following the comprehensive win over FC Porto which sealed the Reds’ semifinal berth.
The German tactician was full of praise for his players during his post-match press conference after the Champions League second leg clash played at the Estadio Dragao.
Liverpool had won the first leg 2-0 through first-half goals from Naby Keita and Roberto Firmino and they had to weather the storm early in the second leg on Wednesday night until Sadio Mane gave the Reds the lead.
The goal from Sadio Mane stood after VAR check was made as FC Porto were punished for their wayward finishing in the opening minutes of their second leg meeting.
Mohamed Salah then added a second goal for Liverpool in the second half to put the tie beyond the reach of FC Porto.
Eder Militao briefly gave the Portuguese champions hope by pulling a goal back only for Liverpool to add two goals from substitute Roberto Firmino and Virgil Van Dijk.
Liverpool will now face Spanish champions Barcelona in the last four of the competition.
The Barcelona host Liverpool on May 1 before the return leg on May 8.
