Arsenal Set To Sign Star Player After Major Rival Back Out

In all fairness, it is glaring that Arsene Wenger has a handful of talented midfielders in his team at Arsenal. However, there are reports circulating in the media that the North Londoners are still keen on bringing another midfielder into his team.

Czech international and Udinese star player Jakub Jankto has been linked with some top European clubs including Arsenal and Juventus in recent times following his impressive performances at the Italian side.

But CalcioMercato are reporting that Juve are no longer interested in the midfielder and that the gunners are now favourites to get his signature.

Jakub is a versatile youngster who can effectively play in the midfield and also in the attacking third if needed, and it was made known that Arsenal have been monitoring him for several months.

The 21-year-old has started 12 games in all competitions for his side this season so far, and has scored two goals with two assists.

Arsenal currently have the likes of Coquelin, Elneny, Wilshere, Ramsey and Xhaka who can take care of the midfield for Wenger.

Perhaps, the French boss is trying to replace Cazorla with Jakub. Cazorla was his first choice midfielder when he was still fit, but the Spaniard has been out for a long time and might even leave the club soon.
