The winter transfer window is around the corner, and so without doubt Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is now being questioned about the latest transfer speculations in every press briefings.
In yesterday’s press conference after the 2-0 victory over Brighton, the Italian tactician was asked about Chilean Arturo Vidal, the latest top player to be linked with the Blues.
Interestingly, the former Juventus manager did not deny the speculations and instead just wave by the question by insisting that “July is far away”. The versatile midfielder is given a value cost of about €35million on TransferMarkt, but given the player is now hit 30 years of age that will come down gradually.
It is still not certain the former Italy manager will remain at Stamford Bridge beyond this current summer, but if he does stay, the Chile star would be a perfect transfer target. He’s a special and aggressive midfielder who was extremely successful under current Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, and more notably he is a goalscorer, something which the Premier League Champions are lacking right now.
In other news, Chelsea defender and sometimes make-shift midfielder David Luiz has been linked with a transfer to Manchester United, while reports claim he is interested in potential transfer to Barcelona.
