Atletico Madrid star player Antoine Griezmann says he has no regrets for not leaving the Spanish capital in the past summer transfer window.
Griezmann was heavily linked with Manchester United during the transfer window, but the talented player ignored the Old Trafford club and instead sign a new deal with Atletico.
The red devils were said to be sorely disappointed to miss out on the France international, who they thought is interested in moving to England to link up with his countryman Paul Pogba at Old Trafford.
But despite signing a long-term deal and committing his future to the La Liga club, the fans are not impressed that he hasn’t scored a single goal in his last six games for the club.
Recently, the Frenchman was booed off the pitch by club fans when he substituted late on during the game against La Liga champions Real Madrid.
However, Griezmann told newsmen that he has no regret to have stayed at Atletico Madrid.
‘It was my choice, I am happy with my choice’ he said.
The talented forward has scored just twice in the La Liga this season so far, and it is believed his time at the Spanish club is coming to an end
And although Man United are expected to bid for him anytime soon, the player said he has no plans to leave in January, but believes everything will be fine once again.
‘I will score again soon.’ he said.
