Former Liverpool player Gary Gillespie revealed that defender Trent Alexander-Arnold had a tough game against rivals Arsenal in the Premier League.
The Liverpool legend talked about the young England international right-back while he was giving his analysis on the league game between the Reds and Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
Gillespie gave his post-match reaction about the game on the Reds’ TV channel (LTV).
According to him, Trent Alexander-Arnold produced his worst display in a Liverpool shirt against the Gunners.
He had earlier broken into the Liverpool team in the last campaign before making his debut for the England national team in June.
The Liverpool Academy graduate was part of the England squad to the 2018 FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.
He has been a regular fixture in the Reds’ unbeaten start to the new Premier League but struggled against the Gunners in the Matchweek 11 game.
Trent Alexander-Arnold struggled to cope with the twin attacking threat of Sead Kolasinac and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on the Arsenal left especially in the first half an hour of the game.
