It’s no longer news that Manchester United boss José Mourinho is interested in Madrid superstar Gareth Bale.
The Portuguese manager was linked with the player at the closing stages of the winter transfer window but there was no much time for any contract negotiations between both clubs.
The Portuguese is now set to complete his move for the Welshman in the summer as he has reportedly informed the team’s goalkeeper David De Gea about the development.
According to Don Balon, Manchester United have reached an agreement with the Los Blancos as they are ready to release a whopping sum of £70million for the former Tottenham striker in the summer.
Though Mourinho is yet to publicly revealed to Newsmen about the development, the Spanish media outlet reports that the Red Devil’s goalkeeper unknowingly let it out to Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos in a discussion while they are on international break with Spain national team.
It was suggested last month by various transfer rumours that the Spain 27-year-old netminder revealed to Mourinho the list of players he would love to see at Old Trafford should he remain with the club beyond this season and the list includes Gareth Bale, Dybala and Sandro.
In the early hours of today, Don Balon reported that United have pulled out of the race for Antoine Griezmann’s signature so as to complete their move for the Welshman whom they believe will help solve United’s right-wing problems ahead of next season.
Bale has featured in just 19 matches for Los Blancos so far this season due to his recurring injury problems.
He was among the goalscorers for Madrid, last Sunday when they thrashed Girona 6-3 at Santiago Bernabeu.
