According to Italian media reports, Premier League giants Chelsea have rejected a £35million offer for goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois from La Liga side Real Madrid this summer transfer window.
Real Madrid table offer
Gianluca Di Marzio, as cited by Metro, is claiming that Real Madrid have submitted an initial bid to try and land the safe hand, who has only one season remaining to go on his deal with Chelsea.
The goalkeeper’s future at the West London club has been a major source of rumour due to the fact that his present deal is set to run out at the conclusion of the next campaign.
The same report states that the La Liga side have now turned their focus towards landing Alisson from Serie A side Roma, but that the team have also had an initial offer for the Chelsea goalie rejected by the West London club.
Chelsea want goalie to stay
Chelsea are likely to get the goalies’ Stamford Bridge future settled as fast as possible.
If the Stamford Bridge outfit are unable to get the shot-stopper to commit to a fresh deal, it could be in their own interests to offload him this summer window rather than losing the player on a free move this time next season.
Meanwhile, the Blues are yet to complete any fresh signings this summer transfer window as they attempt to assemble a team good enough to break back into the League’s top four next term.
