After kicking off the new premier league season on a fly, Manchester United were only able to share points with Stoke City last weekend with a 2-2 draw.
The Old Trafford club were, however, able to return back to winning ways by winning Basel 3-0 in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
They will now be clashing with Everton in their next premier league game and should rightly be considered favourites to emerge victors after full-time to get all three points from the game.
After winning their opening two games of the new term, Everton have been quite average despite splashing the cash to bring in new players during the summer transfer window.
The Goodison Park club have lost their last three matches in all competitions and have conceded no fewer than 8 goals
And as far as Manchester United’s team news is concerned, Frenchman Paul Pogba suffered a hamstring injury during the Champions League game against Basel, and the midfielder had been ruled out for some weeks.
In his absence therefore, we can expect Ander Herrera to return to the starting XI to partner summer signing Nemanja Matic in the center of the park.
With De Gea inbetween the sticks, here is the red devils strongest possible 4-2-3-1 XI against Ronald Koeman’s Everton.
GK – De Gea
DL – Blind
DC – Baily
DC – Jones
DR – Valencia
MC – Matic
MC – Herrera
AL – Rashford
AC – Mkhitaran
AR – Mata
FC – Lukaku
