Chelsea Set To Complete

Bayern Munich coach Carlo Ancelotti has debunked reports that Arturo Vidal is moving to Chelsea in the January transfer window.

Antonio Conte is believed to be keen on reuniting with Chilean star who was part of the Juventus squad that excelled under the Italian in the Serie A.

Conte has helped Chelsea to a comfortable lead on the Premier League table and looks to bring in reinforcements as they push for title in the second half of the season.

However, Ancelotti has rubbished linking Vidal to a Stamford Bridge this month.

Ancelotti: “Our squad is complete. We will not add new players this month. On the rumours linking Vidal to Chelsea, he said: “Absolute rubbish!”

Reports have it that Chelsea will try to get the deal over the line as Vidal also fuelled speculation by ‘liking’ a post that suggested the move was going to happen.

In other news, Nigerian midfielder Mikel Obi has hinted his imminent exit from the Stamford Bridge after tweeting a fan letter, despite Conte refusing to talk about the midfielder’s future at the club. Recent reports claim that Mikel is expected to sign a four-year deal with Valencia as his contract at the Stamford Bridge expires at the end of the season.
