Yacine Brahimi manchester united transfer news

Manchester United are plotting a £51million move for Porto winger Yacine Brahimi as an option to Kylian Mbappe this summer, according to reports.

The French sensation has been tipped to leave the Ligue 1 this season, with speculations that several clubs in Europe such as Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal and Real Madrid are all monitoring his signature.

Mbappe has been an impressive figure at AS Monaco as they are on the verge of becoming Champions in the French Ligue 1, and it will take an astronomical figure to see him leave the club.

Reports in the Daily Mail claim that Real Madrid have moved ahead of other rivals in the pursuit of Mbappe and United are resigned to the idea of not signing the youngster this summer.

The Red Devils have continued their search for a forward and have identified Yacine Brahimi as a viable option as against Mbappe but there are speculations that Liverpool and Everton are alo vying for the Algerian’s signature.

Arsenal were also linked with a move for Brahimi last summer when Arsene Wenger was in dire need of an impressive forward but failed in his bid to sign him.

The winger is believed to be available for a £51million fee which is the release clause in his deal at Porto and Manchester United will be asked to meet the fee before they can sign the player.
