Why Arsenal fans must thank Unai Emery
Many will argue that he is only doing his job but there are suggestions that North London outfit Arsenal boss Unai Emery is doing much more to ensure the team’s qualification to the Champions League next season with a top-four finish.
The Gunners are known to have an easy run of fixtures until the end of the season but they are still being threatened by their poor form away from home and that is no longer taken likely by the Spanish manager.
Arsenal’s last week defeat to Merseyside outfit Everton is a major proof that the Gunners team are weaker away from home as the game would have ensured they seal a third position spot to ensure their qualification.
However, this misery affecting the North London outfit was given very clear attention by the manager who revealed that he took the week to work on the team as regarding their away form.
It is reported that the former PSG boss held a meeting and deep talks with the players to know the cause of their poor travelling form so as to have a lasting solution to that ahead of the remaining games in the season.
Unai Emery revealed that talks were held in the dressing room and he is positive that his players can fix it together and get back to winning ways against Watford on Monday.
Meanwhile, records have it that the North London outfit have recorded just two wins in all competitions away from the Emirates in 2019 which is not a good one for a team that wants to challenge for titles or have a top-four finish.
