The French national team coach Didier Deschamps has claimed the reason why he snubbed Arsenal inform striker Alexandre Lacazette from his national team is because of the competition in the team.

Deschamps had refused the former Lyon striker from the World Cup team and that has not changed with the call for the UEFA nations league despite the fine form of the player.

In his defence, the French boss stated that the Arsenal striker must work harder to earn a place because of the competition in the team.

He added that the players who won the World Cup are still at their best; hence it might be difficult for new additions.

He made it clear that the attack position, in particular, has been very competitive which makes it difficult for him to find a space in the team.

Lacazette has scored 5 goals in all competitions this season with his latest brace against Fulham on Sunday.

His fine form has caught the attention of the football world and that has earned him a place in FIFA team of the week.

Despite being snubbed at the national side, the player has continued working as he is an important part of the Arsenal team.

Lucas Torreira

English Premier League outfit Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira has disagreed with manager Unai Emery over German international Mesut Ozil.

This season has been a difficult one for the former Real Madrid player as he has been out of favour with the Gunners boss right from the beginning as a result of his poor performance at the club.

It is understood that the former PSG boss is pushing for Mesut Ozil to quit the church but that did not happen as the player made it clear that German would be staying at the club to fight for a starting role.

Suggestions are that the Gunners manager sees the performance of the German star as unacceptable and has no need in the team.

This does not apply to Lucas Torreira as he claims that Mesut Ozil remains a world class player who has the ability to add more quality to the team.

Lucas Torreira noted that Alexandre Lacazette and Mesut Ozil have been his closest friend since he joined that club and he hopes that is extended on the pitch with more playing time for the German.

Alexandre Lacazette

Amongst the pain for not recording a win against BATE in the Europa League is the fact that Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette was shown a red card in the game.

The North London outfit saw their first defeat in the Europa League with suggestions that it would not have happened, should Alexandre Lacazette had remained in the game especially after he found the back of the net in the 55th minute before it was disallowed by the referee.

His absence later in the game reduced the creativity in the attack and that was the reason his apology is more needed than any other Arsenal player.

Alexandre Lacazette took to the twitter to apologise for the result of the game, noting that he feels bad to have let the team down.

He added that he would have remained in the game because there was still more time to have the game on. Alexandre Lacazette, therefore, hopes that his teammates will endure the qualification of the team to the next round.

However, Alexandre Lacazette will not file out with the North London outfit in the second leg of the game at the Emirate Stadium which means Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be left alone to handle the attack.

Sanchez

There are suggestions that Chile international Alexis Sanchez will be heading out of the Old Trafford as his move to Manchester United has not yielded any result.

The former Barcelona playmaker left the North London outfit to the Red Devils in last year to earn about £400,000 but is it now suggested that he took a bad decision and might be set to return back in the summer window.

Alexis Sanchez failed to excel under former manager Jose Mourinho and he is yet to impress under the new interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer which cast doubt over his ability to deliver good performance at the Old Trafford the way he did at the Emirates Stadium.

However, there is suggestion according to former Arsenal player Marc Overmars that Alexis Sanchez could return as it is now glaring that he made a wrong decision to have parted ways with the North London outfit.

During his three-year spell at Arsenal, Alexis Sanchez was one of the most feared players in the Premier League where he scored a total of 80 goals and impressed.

The same cannot be said of the star player at the Old Trafford as he has scored only 5 goals in the 37 appearances that have been handed to him.

Mesut Ozil has fallen out with the Gunners manager Unai Emery as a result of his poor performances with claims that the Spanish boss is doing all it takes to have him leave the club.

However, the North London outfit have been told they have no reason to worry about losing the former Real Madrid international as long as they are able to secure the signature of Hakim Ziyech in the summer.

The fact that Mesut Ozil earns the biggest pay at the club and does not see games makes a worse scenario for the Gunners team but that can be settled with Hakim Ziyech.

Hakim Ziyech has been tipped to become a world class player in coming years as a result of the potentials he has shown.

He is known to have the skills to create spaces and asset his teammates which adds to his excellent dribble skill but one thing that makes him stand out is his eyes goal scoring ability.
