Napoli makes big statement on David Ospina

Italian Serie A outfit manager Carlo Ancelotti has made a big claim on Arsenal loanee goalkeeper David Ospina after he claimed he could return back to the Emirate Stadium next season.

The Columbia international has been with the Napoli side since the beginning of the season as he was made to leave the club with the arrival of Bernd Leno from Bayer Leverkusen at the beginning of the season.

David Ospina was a regular at Naples for the first half of the season as he was handed 18 appearances but that did not come along in the second half as he was made to start from the bench.

However, Carlo Ancelotti has stated that David Ospina will not be leaving the club at the end of the season as he stated that the stopper will be given a permanent deal owing to the option in his contract that allows him move.

It is unsure what the plans of the North London outfit is for David Ospina as they might require him to retune as a backup for Bernd Leno owing to the fact that legendary goalkeeper Petr Cech will be retiring at the end of the season.

Petr Cech announced that he would be leaving football when the season ends with the Gunners offering to hand him a coaching role at the club.
