Portuguese boss Jose Mourinho has made it known recently that he isn’t interested in signing Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri for Manchester United this month.
25-year-old Seri has been heavily linked with a move away from the French club in recent times after emerging as a target for a handful of top clubs in Europe including Manchester United and Manchester City.
The Ivorian star has been impressive in recent times and has evolved into one of the best players in the Ligue 1. He has a £35 million release clause in his contract with Nice and the club are expected to cash in on him this month.
However, Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has insisted he won’t sign another player this month after landing Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal earlier this week.
The former Chelsea boss told newsmen that he won’t be making a move for Seri before the closure of the ongoing window and that his activities in the summer will be ‘short’.
After finalising a deal for Sanchez on Monday, it was widely claimed that Manchester United won’t bother about splashing huge cash on some of their big targets like Antoine Griezmann and Gareth Bale when summer comes – although they are still interested in bringing Cristiano Ronaldo back to Old Trafford.
