Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi has been advised to work harder so that the Argentine striker can show more of his immense football potentials.

The advise came from Argentine football legend Gabriel Batistuta who was quick to point out that the 26-year-old still has a lot to offer.

Batistuta was speaking during a recent interview monitored by popular media platform Goal.

The former Argentina striker was reacting to the news that Icardi has returned to training with Inter Milan after a lengthy feud with the club.

The Chelsea target returned to Inter Milan training on Tuesday six weeks after he was dropped as the club’s captain.

The former Barcelona trainee has not played for the Nerazzurri since he was stripped off captaincy duties.

He was replaced by Slovenian shot-stopper Samir Handanovic as the Inter Milan captain.

Rumours had revealed that his disagreement with Inter Milan had to do with contract issues.

He has just two years left on his Inter Milan contract at the moment amidst transfer reports linking him with other European clubs like Real Madrid, Manchester United, Juventus and West London giants Chelsea.

Icardi was heavily linked with a move to Chelsea at the start of this season but Inter Milan were able to retain his services despite the overtures from Maurizio Sarri and Chelsea.
