West Ham United forward Marko Arnautovic has spoken about his desire to play in Europe’s premier club football, the UEFA Champions League.
The former Werder Bremen player revealed his Champions League desire during the latest interview he granted while he was on international break.
Arnautovic told Austrian newspaper Kurier that he wants to play with the best players in Europe and only the Champions League can make that possible.
The Austrian international star has been a key player for his West Ham United side since he became a Hammer last summer.
He joined the East London club from English Championship side Stoke City after both clubs agreed toa club record fee of around £25m for his signature.
Stoke City were a Premier League team then before they suffered relegation in the first season after he left.
Many football stakeholders believe he was one of the major reasons why the Potters suffered relegation from the English top flight.
The interest of Chelsea in the 29-year-old was confirmed by his brother Daniel in an interview monitored on gianlucadimarzio.com.
According to him, Premier League sides Everton and Chelsea are interested in the former FC Twente and Inter Milan forward.
Manchester United was also linked with him earlier this week.
