England international Adam Lallana has battled with various injuries for a large chunk of his Reds’ career and he’s expected to leave the club in the summer when his Liverpool contract expires.
James Maddison has shown that he has the quality to thrive at a big club like Liverpool after his seamless transition to the Premier League this season.
There were doubts whether the 22-year-old can make the step up from the English Championship to the Premier League following his £22m move from Norwich City to Leicester City last summer.
Maddison has been one of the best players for the Foxes this season in what his debut campaign in English football.
Adam Lallana has been linked with a return to Southampton in the summer after failing to impress a great deal at Liverpool which is partly due to injury.
He had controversially moved from Southampton to Liverpool and it remains to be seen whether Saints fans will be ready to welcome him with open arms.
