Liverpool can no longer get RB Leipzig star player Naby Keita anymore this summer after the German club refused to change their stance of ‘we are not selling any of our players this summer’.
Right now, the Anfield club have been looking for alternatives as their German boss Jurgen Klopp remains keen on bringing in another midfielder before the end of the transfer window.
Different midfielders have been linked with the Reds recently, and in a new development, there are new reports that Jean Michael Seri has emerged as a late target for the Anfield club.
Ed Aarons made it known that Liverpool have also entered the race to bring in the player from OGC Nice this summer, and are now focusing their attention on one of the best around in the French league.
Seri is an important member at Nice, and his seven goals with nine assists helped the Ligue I side to qualify for this season’s Champions League.
The 26-year-old has also provided an assist in both legs of their qualifying round clash with Dutch heavyweights Ajax some days back.
Phillipe Coutinho is strongly expected to complete a move to La Liga side Barcelona anytime soon, while the future of Germany midfielder Emre Can is still not certain.
Klopp, having also sold Lucas to Lazio earlier on in the transfer window and has lost Adam to injury for some months, has made it known that he need to bring in a new midfielder.
