Newcastle legend Shola Ameobi has stated that Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette will only get better as a striker at the Emirates Stadium.
Ameobi made this claim while reacting to the goal scored by the Frenchman against Liverpool to rescue his team from suffering their first defeat in 14 games.
This is Lacazette’s sixth goal of the season despite not having the opportunity to be a starter at the beginning of the season as he was only played as a second choice to former Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre Emerick Aubameyang.
However, his impressive impact in the team has made him the point man for the Gunners team while Aubameyang is meant to play from the flank for the purpose of accommodating others.
Ameobi stated that the success of the former Lyon striker has just started at the Emirates Stadium as a result of the backing of manager Unai Emery.
Ameobi affirmed that the fact the striker has the opportunity to play every week makes it a better avenue to succeed because he will know how to handle the ball.
Meanwhile, Emery praises Lacazette for having to step up his game and also putting his critics into shame because no one gave it to him at the beginning.
